"This excited a great deal of exegetical comment."
I haven't been on the internet all weekend and I still can't send e-mails! The same message pops up blathering on about network connection errors. I have checked my network connections and I don't see any errors. Bluh! Mainly I've been hermited away all weekend working on my essay for the Book of Kells class (thus the title). Reading three books for a research paper takes time you see. I rose early on Sunday morning, ventured to the library. I have some lovely pictures of daffodils which I'll gladly post later (along with all those other pictures and videos I'm going to post later). Next came the long trek to Tesco and back. A million pounds of groceries makes the trip back especially long. I've pretty much been working on my paper ever since. When John called yesterday,I took a break and found myself already over limit and not even halfway done at 6 pages. So I started over with a broader, more encompassing thesis. I finally finished this afternoon...only a little over the limit, hopefully she won't mind. I kind of feel like a paper zombie when I think of the other two upcoming papers I have to deal with. My eyes try to unfocus and I get the urge to start drooling. I'm definitely writing the art history paper instead of taking the exam on Friday. My teacher reviewed what would be on the exam today--two essay questions regarding two art works each. That's four artworks out of the hundred or so we've reviewed! It's like she expects us to really really know everything about everything or something!! I feel much more comfortable writing an out-of-class paper. Meanwhile, my brain's still kind of melty from too much Kells and not enough sleep. Nevertheless, I'm totally excited about Dublin this weekend. Edward has sent us a tentative itinerary. We pretty much have free reign to explore Dublin using the "Dublin Pass," but Edward has some recommended activities planned out that sound good enough for me, like going to see the Book of Kells in the Library of Trinity College. The pass allows free entry to a lot of attractions. There are a few things not on the itinerary that I would kind of like to see too like the zoo or the National Gallery of Ireland or the National Wax Museum or The Bram Stoker Dracula Experience, but we'll just have to see how things go. I'm afraid I'm rambling in my sleepiness. In conclusion, don't worry Gran--I'm eating healthily. I purposely loaded myself down with canned vegetables and bought some ham and applles to make sure I'm getting a balanced diet. This made the walk back from Tesco very strenuous, but I started to feel that maybe rice and bread weren't covering all my necessary food groups. Sorry no pictures. I have them, I just haven't put them on photobucket. They will come! Oh, they will come!
