Job City Here I Come!!!

Yaaay, I'm employed! I win! Start August 4th. So it's a good thing my friends are taking advantage of me while they can. Mika and I recently visited our beloved Mexican restaurant Zapata's. Of course, now it has undergone the full transformation to El Cazador. I have to say, the change is for the better. For one, they've turned the waist-high walls which separated the booths, into arched walls with small terracotta shingled roofs. My personal favorite comes in switching the horrid floral tablecloths for cheezy, but color coordinated ones.

Later, we hooked up with Marie and Johnathon and made fun of local bands trying too hard. Good times.
Saturday I had a lovely date with John. After a trip to Whole Foods, our culinary adventure began. John grilled us up some delicious Asian barbeque salmon. Now that we've got a feel for it, I think we can make it even more amazing the next time.

Yesterday also provided its share of adventure. A shopping trip with my family found us caught in quite a rainstorm. The run from Wal-Mart to our car left us soaking wet. The picture does not do justice to how thoroughly soggy we were.

We were also starving, so we hurried over to Cracker Barrel. Their air conditioning freezes me at the warmest of times. Needless to say we were all popsicles within seconds as the air hit our rained on selves. The hot coffee was much welcomed or, in Zoe's case, hot chocolate.

Today the sun is back out in full force with nary a fluffy cloud in sight.
And my coffee is ready.
The wind blows purply.
Hee hee I made a haiku.
