I'm a Real Employee!

Wait, no I'm not. I'm only an intern and shall remain so for the next two years. Well, employee or intern, my new work schedule knows how to tire a girl out. But here I am, finally posting about all my latest adventures. They're not as picturesque as Laurie's, especially as I haven't been taking many photos lately.
For example, I forgot to take a pic of the delicious dinner John cooked for my family last week. He made chicken parmesan and ratatouille! Awesome. Unfortunately, our weekends have been somewhat limited as he still has to work. However, yesterday we did head over to Brookwood Mall for a walk about. There I discovered a new addition to the Artemis Fowl series had been released. So we know what I'll be doing after I finish this blog post! Well, actually I'll be catching up on the last two episodes I missed of Project Runway. But after that! The final book of the Eragon Trilogy is also coming out in September, so that's another thing to look forward to.
Meanwhile, the biggest garden spider I've ever seen is hanging out in the corner of our garage door. We always have one or two set up every year, but this one takes the cake.

And here it is eating a bug.

Gross.

And here's a photo of the lizard skeleton that I randomly unearthed in my room a while back.

Also gross.
But to offset the grossness with something fabulous, is the bracelet I got from Florida making rainbows on the dashboard.

The star's about 2 inches across. A fine piece of giant plastic prismatic fabulosity.
Oh, I almost forgot. I also attended the basement show of All Serene Friday night. Admittedly I was more than half there to see the rest of the family, but I bought a ticket to their show at Workplay so they can't complain. I thought they played a nice set and enjoyed my time sitting with the 'rents in the living room afterwards. The new carpet looks great and I got a tasty barbecue sandwhich to go. A classic time at the Skeltons': good conversation and plenty of food.
And those are the highlights of my recent life, as I remember them.
